Danish-Faroese artist Brimheim shares majestic queer love anthem “Call It What You Want”.
Copenhagen via Faroe Islands singer-songwriter Brimheim has recently unveiled “Call It What You Want,” a love anthem that is described as her “most personal single yet”. The track is one of tolerance and self-acceptance as it is based on her wife, her own experience as a member of a LBGTQ+ community, and the problems that they faced with her wife’s parents. “Sadly, her parents are not accepting of her homosexuality (especially her mom), so I’ve never actually met them,” she explained in an interview. The majestic track sounds indeed like an anthem. Both ethereal and epic, it is an orchestral statement that screams “Love is Love.” Listen below.
