Gothenburg trio CHIVVY explore loss in dreamy and nostalgic new song “Deeper Blue”.
Swedish trio CHIVVY follow up to their first singles “Red Water” and “In Control” with another melancholy gem. Channeling the best from old school dream pop, “Deeper Blue” reflects on loss with a glimpse of nostalgia. “The relationship that never became, the plans that never became or the dreams that no longer exist”. The song sounds particularly timely as all our plans are cancelled one by one because of the COVID crisis. Only the ruminations and the regrets remain in time. The understated, addictive chorus is definitely one of the highlights of the track and we’re impatient to hear more from these three promising artists.
