Das Body make us wait for their debut album with dark-synth single “On Request”.
After their debut EP, which was released last year on Luminelle, Oslo’s Das Body were supposed to drop their debut album in April. For the reasons you may know, they decided to postpone the release to later. In order to make us wait, they unveiled an explosive new single, “On Request”, which channels once again the dark synthpop from the 80s.
“Lyrically it’s about when you have the confidence to take on any kind of request, but you’re confused about what the request actually is, so all that unspent energy keeps building up and is never released,” explained Ellie Linden, the singer of the band. “Musically it’s Das Body exploring what happens when we plug into our guitar amps without a plan late at night, releasing a lot of energy just to see what happens. So… Let’s hope that never happens again hahah”
