Norwegian songwriter-producer duo Wauwatosa share the beautiful choral folk remix of “Myriad Colors”, courtesy of Halvor Strand.
If you like Konradsen’s soulful bedroom pop, you should also fall in love with the Halvor Strand remix of Wauwatosa’s “Myriad Colors”. The Norwegian duo Wauwatosa, which was discovered by Tim Shiel, the founder of Australian label Spirit Level, is fairly described as Oslo’s best-kept secret. And it’s true that we haven’t heard of them before. But now, things are going to change!
On this elegantly crafted remix, the artists depict a sophisticated choral folk atmosphere, with hypnotic layers. The vocals of Emilie Storaas are almost like a mystical experience.
“Sigurd and Martin in Wauwatosa are long time friends and collaborators of mine,” says Halvor. “It’s a great honor to get to remix their music, but it also felt intimidating to be trusted with this great material. I think it turned out pretty special.” Sigurd of Wauwatosa says that he imagines “the best place to listen to this music is while running in the woods.”
