Bjarni Ben proves that he is the new bedroom pop sensation with “Mania”.
Coming from the northern Icelandic seaside town of Akureyri, Bjarni Ben is now living between Reykjavík and Berlin. The DIY artist draws from 80’s new wave and 90’s alternative rock to create arresting lo-fi pop tracks which also come with striking visuals, as seen with his latest offering “Mania”. There are a lot of things happening both in the track and visuals, that he co-directed with Toni Agostinelli. Be ready for some aggressive beats, raw emotions, blood-dripping mouth and nail polish. There are a lot of bedroom pop artists out there at the moment, but they certainly don’t have as much creativity and personality as Bjarni Ben. Judge by yourself below.
