New: Helax – “Tell Me, Tell Me”

Berlin-based Swedish producer Helax shares his first EP “Tell Me, Tell Me” and brings some tears on the dance floor.

Coming from Uppsala, a city located in the north of Stockholm, Helax is a producer known for his work with the dream-pop duo The Ghost of Helags and indie electronic duo Brynäs (yes, they share the same name than Gävle’s ice hockey team).

Now going solo and based in Berlin, the artist has just unveiled his debut EP which sounds both dance-y and melancholic. According to the press release, the 4 tracks were inspired by his nocturnal walks through Hambourg’s red-light district and down the harbor. It is indeed a club EP for the late-nights, but not necessarily the ones where you jump and sweat in the clubs. It sounds a bit more introspective, introvert, meditative as it raises a lot of unanswered questions (Tell Me?, Are We Hiding Ourselves From Love?…). We don’t know that much about this mysterious producer but his music is certainly telling us what is happening in his mind.
