My favorite place is a wine bar called Den Vandrette. It doesn’t look like much, but the atmosphere is great. They only have natural wines and great experimental/comfort food.
for coffee
Grab a coffee at The Coffee Collective in Torvehallerne. And then go for walk in the Botanical Garden. It’s 5 minutes away. I work in a studio just next to this place, so I’ll take this trip myself for most of my “coffee-meetings”.
for dancing
Private parties. I couldn’t recommend a club in Copenhagen.
for music
Vega. Beautiful old venue with 3 stages. The biggest is a 1500 cap room, and the smallest is 200. So all the stages are “intimate”, but it’s the best venue in Scandinavia, so a lot of bigger bands go there if they have the opportunity. Even if they could fill arena sized venues. The building is old and SO beautiful. I’d recommend this to everyone.
for escaping
Go to Bornholm. It’s the sunshine island of Scandinavia. And It’s where I was born. It’s the most beautiful place in Denmark. Great food over there as well. It takes 3 hours from Copenhagen. Or 30 minutes if you go by plane.
for clothes shopping
Vintage shop called Golden Age. I don’t do much shopping these days, but when I need something special I go down to this place.
for first date
I don’t know. Maybe: Do a playlist each. Rent a car and drive north along the ocean. Play your playlist for the other. Great way to get familiar. I guess.
for inspiration
Lousiana Museum of Modern Art. Spent a whole day. Make sure you also have time to go for a long walk down the beach afterwards.
for the best view
The sauna at Banchina – at night. You can see the ocean and the skyline on the other side of the harbour.
