Ariko Inoka defines Iceland as an island of creativity and inspiration and pays regular visits to the country since 2002 so as to get closely acquainted with people living there. In 2006 Ariko meets the twins, Erna and Hrefna, when they were 6 years old and they work together on a project three years later. After the first photo shoot, Inoka visits the twins every summer for 3-4 weeks in their place in Reykjavik. She says she’ll go on photographing them for some 7-8 years.
