Zaria Forman’s story starts as a young girl taking to photography travels with her mother to the far ends of the world. She exhibits her works right after attending Skidmore College in New York. She devotes her work to global warming and takes photos of giant ice caps in Greenland. Later she does the same thing in Maldives. She paints with her fingers giant paintings that she took photos of.
Although Greenland and Maldives might seem irrelevant, melting of the ice caps in Greenland shall result in Maldives’ disappearance by bringing up the sea level. That is why the artist kicks off her project on these two seemingly irrelevant islands.
