Being a Fashion Photographer in Sweden

Swedish photographers Denise Grünstein, Julia Hetta, Martina Hoogland Ivanow, Julia Peirone, and Elisabeth Toll display their works at an exhibition entitled “Different Distances: Fashion Photography Goes Art”. They tell that they have come together in this project in order to remove the thin line between fashion and art. Curator Greger Ulf Nilson says: “Fashion photographs have a date of expiry, too. They get printed on a mag and in a short time the photograph is considered outdated. However, when art gets in on the act, the perception changes and the photo never gets old”.
