New: Vandbakk – Emotions

Norwegian indie musician Vandbakk was stuck in our radar with his very first single called “Solid Ground”, released last year. At the same time in Norway, including NRK P3, Vandbakk got attention from various media and since then we are paying attention to what Vandbakk is doing. By the way, Vandbakk is not only Vandbakk; he also has an alter ego, his electronic project, Dalileo that he heralded a month ago. He released a track called “ADHD Dreams” which is utterly catchy with ambient and down tempo tunes.

Today, Vandbakk is heralding his second single called “Emotions” and we are delighted to listen new tracks by talented musician. Even from the first time we heard the track, “Emotions” is already in the loop. During 2 minutes and 49 seconds, Vandbakk offers a completely different universe to listener although he talks about a very fundamental subject such as emotions, but the manner how Vandbakk does this is different than the others. That’s why we have to pay attention to him. Not only the lyrics are very well-written but also he leaves the listener to do a journey in the past. With Vandbakk’s deep vocals and guitar riffs emotions are being more even more depressing. In addition, we can also say that “Emotions” has more melancholic timbres than “Solid Ground”, which is not a bad thing at all. Even after a year, it is splendid to see in which way a musician’s style or the way he sings might change; Vandbakk is a great example in this case comparing both first and second singles. Finally, we must admit that we also really liked the artwork of the single! Do not forget to follow Vandbakk because it very possible to see him everywhere in a couple of years.
