by:Larm Discovery – TØFL (NO)

Stavanger’s indie pop music band TØFL released its first EP ‘Eg Ska’ last spring. The three tracks of five in the EP have entered the NRK P3 lists. With their live performances, TØFL has reached a tight audience in a short period of time. This year, the band has also performed in many festivals, and we have already loved their energetic, danceable, catchy tracks! TØFL also has a very original nostalgic breeze with its tracks, as they use the Stavanger dialectic in their lyrics and vocals. For example, even the names of their songs such as ‘Nokia 105’ give us the nostalgic vibe. At the same time, TØFL explores today’s madness of technology with critical lyrics.

Within a short period of time TØFL reached over a million streamings on Spotify, the group also gave concerts in big cities. Even last summer, TØFL was chosen as the newest and the most favorite groups in Norway’s biggest music festival, Øyafestivalen. With well written lyrics, energetic live shows and danceable melodies, TØFL also provides an enjoyable concert experience. In addition, TØFL performed as support band of music groups that we like to listen such as Sløtface, Silja Sol and Dagny.

TØFL, with its delightful sounds, makes us utterly to feel the indie pop breeze and presents a pinky world. As the dress code, the band members always wear pink and have a very naive attitude. Also, the artwork of their EP and singles are very well made. You can start to listen TØFL by ‘Tunneler’, ‘Avatar’, ‘Nokia 105’. Finally, we are glad to say that we are excited to see TØFL’s live performance at this year’s by:Larm.
