Oslo-based musician FAKETHIAS blends industrial textures into sharp and broken electronic tunnels. The musician, who creates a contrast with the repetitive rhythms, accepts the music as a dynamic breathing on its own. FAKETHIAS also paints a picture of chaotic beauty with intense textures and unbalanced melodies. His first EP ‘Attune’ was released by Ball ‘Em Up label last April, and he got a good note from musical circles. One of our favorite track in the EP is ‘Epinephrine’ which has a fascinating music video and heralded by FAKETHIAS with successful sounds, as well as satisfying the audience with very interesting visual elements.
In addition, we can say that one of the most exciting names of Oslo electronic music scene, FAKETHIAS, is also part of Softcore Ltd. collective. We even have an impression that FAKETHIAS sounds like French musician Gesaffelstein, which is splendid. No doubt, we’ll be checking out his new music. Besides, FAKETHIAS will perform at this year’s by:Larm as well.
